Finally some great news! FHA has just increased their loan limits. For Santa Barbara County the new FHA loan limit is $729,750. For San Luis Obispo County the new FHA loan limit is $687,500. FHA only requires 3% down and is not subject to the FannieMae/FreddieMac soft market policy. This should help borrowers qualify for more of a home with a lower down payment.
